Founded in 1996 in a garage in Boulder, CO, Trango Holds found a revolutionary material to make their holds from the nose cone coatings of nuclear submarines: polyurethane. Applying this new compound to climbing holds offered unheard-of levels of durability and enhanced manufacturing capabilities which led to new shaping techniques. Trango Holds continues to develop creative shapes and craft routes to challenge gym climbers from every level.
