HTML5 is a markup language used for presenting data on the web. Adopted by the World Wide Web Consortium in 2014, HTML5 is the 5th version of the HTML standard. Some of the many benefits of HTML5 includes better multimedia support including video, audio, canvas, scalable vector graphics allowing for better compatibility across different device types and browsers.
